Dillon J Kotter, CPA, MT
Dillon Kotter started Kotter Tax & Accounting to bring big-city tax and accounting services to local small businesses and every-day people. Prior to operating his own business Dillon received dual undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Finance from Brigham Young University-Idaho, graduating Cum Laude. Upon finishing his undergraduate work, he went to work as a tax professional at Richey May, & Co. in Denver, Colorado serving many large companies and wealthy individuals all over the country. Dillon obtained the vigorous Certified Public Accountant credentials while in Colorado and went on to complete his Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver.
Small businesses and helping the “little guy” have always been passions for Dillon and he left Denver to embark on his own small business adventure in Richfield, Utah! Since its inception in 2013 Kotter Tax & Accounting has grown tremendously. The company focuses on small business income and tax strategies and provides bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and consulting services to its clients. The company serves many businesses and aspiring individuals within and without the area. Kotter Tax prides itself in giving each client a chance to be listened to and taken seriously in their questions/frustrations with tax law, financial planning, and personal finance.
Jade Hansen, EA
Jade Hansen started working at Kotter Tax & Accounting in January of 2017. She started as an intern assembling tax returns and after proving herself through her first tax season, she advanced to the administrative assistant/biller for the firm. She has since advanced from the admin department, to an account manager, and is currently one of the managers. In 2018, she sat for and passed the 3 part SEE exam which gave her the Enrolled Agent credentials. She is currently finishing up on her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Western Governors University so she can go on to get her CPA credentials. She grew up in Richfield, Utah and looks forward to helping the individuals and businesses of this community and surrounding areas reach their financial and tax goals.
Benjamin “Benny” Royer, CPA
Benjamin Royer started working at Kotter Tax & Accounting in the fall of 2020. Prior to Kotter Tax, he was in Salt Lake City working for the State of Utah in the Tax Commission. After 4+ years working for the Tax Commission he was excited for the opportunity to come to Richfield and work with individuals and businesses in helping them reach their financial goals. Benjamin graduated from Southern Utah University with his bachelor’s degree in accounting. While working with the state, he completed his Masters of Accounting, MAcc, from SUU and obtained his Certified Public Accountant, CPA, credentials. He grew up in Blanding Utah and wants to provide professional and quality services to rural Utah companies and individuals.
